圣诞礼物

今早来到办公室，收到一封由内部发给所有员工的公告。公告的內容如下：

INTERNAL NOTICE: 2006 CHRISTMAS GIFT

I am pleased to announce that the Company will be making a gift to all salaried staff, except those who joined on or after 27th November 2006 or left on or before 1st December 2006.

The gift will depend on your length of service, and will be paid in December through the payroll. As this is a monetary gift, it is of course taxable, and subject to National Insurance.

The amounts payable are: -
Less than 5 years service * ---- £125 **
5 years + service * ---- £175

* Service as at 31st December 2006
** £65 will be paid to those who joined on or after 3rd July 2006
