The Chronicles Of Narnia: Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe

I watched this movie with a high hope and honestly I didn’t enjoy this movie as much I’d hoped for.

This is a beautifully filmed fantasy movie; shows a good landscape but the characters never seemed existed. I felt that the story was too fairy-tale to me. What I amazed was at how they adapted the story into 2 hours time movie, which is same as Harry Potter and LOTR.

There were some disappointed / dull scenes for me in this movie. The Lion who rules Narnia, character of Aslan, is introduced mysteriously in the movie. He seems like meaningless in the movie. (for me when I watch the movie coz I have not read the book before) The White Witch who has a friendly face which let you wonder if she is good or bad person at the beginning of the movie. After that she acted so cruel and there’s nothing that makes me understand why Edmund is so attracted with her. Any particular reasons? Perhaps she is beautiful or he can gain power from her, I guessed. For the battle…. Humm…I can’t believe how boring it is. Ugly animals were running and fighting around the battlefield while the White Witch was poses like a fashion model behind them.

Overall this is a good movie and the children did a great job in the movie. I think all ages will be entertained but it’s just not my type.
